Burglary Reported In McIntosh
On April 13th the Polk County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the report of a burglary at a residence in rural McIntosh. The homeowner reported that while they were away at a family member’s funeral, an unknown person or persons forcefully entered an outbuilding and attempted to enter their residence. The Polk County Sheriffs Office would like to remind citizens to take steps to secure their property if they are going to be away for a period of time or are going to be away at a publicized event such as a funeral. Some steps that can be taken are to make sure all doors are locked and secured and by asking a neighbor or friend to watch the property while away. Installing cameras would be a good idea if possible. Citizens can also contact the Polk County Sheriff’s Office at (218) 281-0431 to request extra patrol and their Deputies will check on the property when time allows.
