Norman County Commission Election

There are two new members on the Norman County Commission. Timothy Oistad won the open seat in District 1, defeating Randal Gorder 379 votes to 214.  And in District 5, Darren Andersen defeated Gregory Crader 448 votes to 160.  Oistad and Andersen will succeed Marvin Gunderson and Steve Bommersbach, who did not run for re-election.

Checking local elections in North Dakota….Hillsboro voters overwhelmingly approved a half cent sales tax increase to go towards a new fire hall.  591 people voted in favor of the new tax, with 185 voting against.
