Clearwater County Buggy Accident

A woman from Bagley was arrested after her SUV  struck an Amish buggy early last Friday in Clearwater County.  Court documents say Jamie Harmon intentionally rammed into the buggy while someone was inside it.  The collision happened around 1:40am May 30 at the intersection of 189th Avenue and Clearwater Lake Road.  A 911 caller reported the accident.  When law enforcement arrived, a buggy was seen in the ditch and there was also an overturned Chevrolet Equinox with its lights still on.  Neither driver was there when law enforcement arrived.  Then a man arrived with a friend, saying he was the driver of the buggy when the driver of the Equinox yelled at him and intentionally crashed into the buggy.  A search of the SUV turned up a strong smell of alcohol and an empty can of hard seltzer.  Harmon denied being involved in the crash. She is currently on probation for a 2024 driving while impaired conviction.
