Clearwater County Sheriff gives ice fishing advice
With temps expected to reach as high as 50 degrees Clearwater County Sheriff Darin Halverson reminds anglers to remove their fish houses off of area lakes as ice continues to deteriorate.
Halverson also reminds anglers to clean up after themselves and warns that they can now be fined for not doing so.
The DNR also reminds people removing their ice houses to make safety your top priority by checking the thickness constantly, wearing a float coat or life jacket, carrying ice picks and considering that ice conditions can change rapidly.
