Clearwater County Sheriff talks about decision to retire 

Earlier this year, Clearwater County Sheriff Darin Halverson joined a growing list of local sheriffs who will be retiring at the end of the year. During his most recent visit on the KKCQ Food for Thought Program, Halverson talked about how he came to this decision, and why he felt now was a good time to retire

Halverson says the goal of every sheriff is to leave the department in a better place than when they arrived, and he feels that he did so. 

Halverson also looked back at his career, and shared some of his personal highlights, and notable benchmarks from his time in Law Enforcement.
