Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office raising awareness during Domestic Violence Awareness Month

It’s National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and the Clearwater County Sheriff’s office is raising awareness. Clearwater County Sheriff Darin Halverson says domestic violence can come in many different shapes, and not all cases are the same. 

Halvorson says domestic violence can not only have major effects on a victim’s health, but it can also have long-term effects on the children of abusers, and abuse victims. 

Finally, Halvorson says that his department will continue to take domestic violence complaints, and cases very seriously, and he encourages anyone who may be affected by domestic violence to report it, as they have resources available to victims.
