Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office raising awareness during Suicide Prevention Month
September is National Suicide Prevention Month, and the Clearwater County Sheriff’s Office is raising awareness for suicide, and suicide prevention. Clearwater County Sheriff Darrin Halverson says suicidal thoughts can happen to anyone, and there there’s no sole reason that a person chooses to take their own life.
While each case is different, Halverson says there are signs that people should be aware of.
If you do notice some of these signs in a loved one, Halverson tells us what you should, and shouldn’t do in response.
You can learn more about national Suicide Prevention Month, and prevention resources by going to the Suicide Prevention Resource Center website at sprc.org.
