Community Christmas Day 2022
When Carl Brown started the Community Christmas Day dinner in 2006, he did so with a vision of
providing a place for people from the community to gather together for a meal on Christmas Day. He
wanted to provide a place for people to get together if they didn’t have any place to go, if they were
homebound, if they didn’t have the means to prepare a meal, or if they simply wanted to spend their
afternoon together in fellowship with others either through service or dining. The dinner was also
established to be a means to raise funds to support feeding those in the community who are food
insecure. This event which became a community tradition was cancelled last year but will continue
again this Christmas Day at the Elks Lodge #1599. Lee Grim and Lois Lundin Discuss with Timm Ringhofer.
