Construction Begins On Dairy Near Hillsboro

HILLSBORO, ND—Construction has begun on a dairy southeast of Hillsboro that would hold 25,000 cows and create about 100 jobs.  The dairy, which is being built by Morris-based Riverview Dairy, has been planned and talked about for over two years.  Jim Murphy, executive director of the Traill County Economic Development Commission, talks about the work that has begun.

With the project having been talked about for so long, Murphy was asked if construction is behind schedule.

Work is also underway to build apartments for construction workers and people who would work at the dairy.  Murphy says the plan is for milking to begin in 18 months.
