COVID update with Riverwood’s Dr David Taylor

(Aitkin, MN) — Riverwood Healthcare Chief Medical Officer and Emergency Medicine Physician Dr. David Taylor updated our Home Grown Local Radio listeners on the latest COVID information and the Omicron variant.

Dr Taylor noted with any recent surge of COVID cases previously, the Delta variant has been the main variant but Omicron has not been far behind.

The Omicron variant has also reached the point where contraction is more likely to occur even with a shorter time of symptoms.

Dr Taylor continues to implore that vaccines are still the best mitigation factor.

Medications that previously worked to keep COVID awat are on a limited basis.
