Day Light Saving Time Ends Sunday
Daylight saving time in the United States will end on Sunday at 2 am which means that clocks will/should be pushed back an hour.
Daylight savings was introduced as a solution for energy conservation and a desire to match daylight hours to the times when most people are awake.
The idea was first thought of in 1895 when entomologist George Vernon Hudson unsuccessfully proposed an annual two-hour time shift to the Royal Society of New Zealand, but it was later instituted in other countries.
A bill in 2022 was introduced by a group of bipartisan senators and was passed by voice vote but later stalled in the U.S. House of Representatives because lawmakers could not agree on whether to keep standard time or permanent daylight saving time
