Declining Enrollment Adds to Budget Concerns

Long term enrollment is trending downward in the Bagley School District and that means less revenue for schools since state aid is based on pupil count. Bagley Superintendent Erich Heise spoke about budget concerns during last week’s Bagley School News. Heise said covid relief funds made up for the enrollment decline last year.

Like many schools, Bagley is struggling with staff shortages which has taken a toll on everybody at the school emotionally and energy-wise according to Heise.
