Deer hunting opportunities available at Itasca State Park

The Minnesota Deer opener is next weekend, and if you’re still looking for a place to hunt, Itasca State Park may be the place for you. Itasca State Park Lead Naturalist Connie Cox says there are ample opportunities to hunt deer in the park this November.

With the influx of hunters across the park, Cox says all recreationalists should be wearing blaze orange, even if they’re not hunting.

More information about the Itasca State Park deer season can be seen on the parks webpage on the Minnesota DNR website at dnr.state.mn.us.
