Demo of Buxton’s Former Hardware Store Complete
The Buxton City Council met in regular session Wednesday evening.
Mayor, Travis Soderberg, gave the final updates to the council on the demolition of the property at 317 Broadway, currently owned by Riedhammer Masonry, LLC. All that remains of Buxton’s former hardware store is a shared wall with the Buxton Town and Country Senior Center. Soderberg says it feels good to finally get the building removed.
In other discussion items, Soderberg details a recent incident involving the city’s tree and compost pile.
Soderberg also summed up discussion on the city’s current stray dog situation.
In other items, the council set the city’s holiday celebration for December 1st at 6pm and approved a lighting update to the Central Valley championship sign. Soderberg also informed the commission that the crack sealing project on city streets and the fencing project around the softball field are both completed.
