Destiny Piekarski Named First Ever Women’s HOF Inductee for Rainy River

Call it her destiny, or just call her Destiny. The Littlefork alumni and Rainy River Basketball All-American recently was delivered the news that Destiny Piekarski is the first ever Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame inductee for the Voyageurs.

So, should we expect a ceremony or even a parade for the Hall of Famer?

Leading up to her induction, Destiny has had quite a journey on the basketball court that could certainly inspire others.

When she first stepped on the basketball court after such a long hiatus, what was going through her head?

And now she is something of a hometown hero, which must be nice.

So for her second season, the team is hoping for a repeat?

But until basketball season begins, she is on the volleyball court where she was even the recipient of a Coach’s Choice Offensive Player of the Week.
