(Aitkin, MN) — Small but progressive legislative actions have taken place but District 10B State Representative Dale Lueck was hoping for more in our most recent conversation with his dealings down at the State Capital.
Representative Lueck chatted on the details of a Drought Relief bill that passed to help grant financial assistance for agricultural producers that were affected this past year.
The bill would also allow Cities to pay for water trucks, which drew ire from Representative Lueck. He also talked about the recent presentation from the City of Aitkin on a proposed 1-percent sales tax.
Representative Lueck says action on that sales tax and other proposals from Cities would come toward the end of the Legislative Session in May. Lueck also gave another update on unemployment insurance for businesses that could draw benefits for business owners but not the State.
