Dr. Marie Nelson Joins Lakewood Health System Medical Staff

Staples, MN – June 10, 2022 — Marie Nelson, OB/GYN, is the newest member of the Lakewood Health System Women’s Health team.

Originally from Brainerd, MN, Dr. Nelson received her undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and her medical degree from the University of Minnesota. She is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the North American Menopause Society.

As an OB/GYN, Dr. Nelson practices the full spectrum of general obstetrics and gynecology. She is experienced in minimally-invasive gynecologic surgery and pelvic prolapse surgery, and she has special interests in menopausal medicine and treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding. Dr. Nelson also enjoys management of both normal and high-risk pregnancies, and infertility.

Dr. Nelson and her husband, Steven, have three children. In her spare time, Dr. Nelson enjoys running, yoga, singing, and spending time outdoors with her family.
