Essentia-Fargo Receives Cancer Society Grants

The Essentia Health-Fargo Foundation has received two grants totalling $30,000 from the American Cancer Society to help ease some of the burden for patients undergoing cancer treatment.  The grant money will be used for transportation and lodging assistance.  Sarah Hansen, a licensed social worker at Essentia Health-Fargo, says “These funds remove a critical barrier to care, allowing patients to focus on healing rather than worrying about how they’ll get to treatment or where they’ll stay.”
