Essentia Health In Fosston & Ada Receive Grants For Ultrasound Equipment
Essentia Health in Ada and Fosston have received grants that will allow them to buy state of the art ultrasound equipment for their respective hospitals. Julie Singewald says Essentia Health received a $26.4 million grant from the Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust to buy the new equipment.
Essentia Health-Ada is receiving a grant of approximately $270,000, while Essentia Health-Fosston is receiving approximately $315,000. Singewald says the grant will allow Fosston to have its own ultrasound machine.
Singewald says the new ultrasound equipment should be in place in Ada and Fosston this summer.
The grant from the Helmsley Charitable Trust will be used to buy 109 point of care ultrasound machines, which are used by healthcare providers.
