6A Championship Ada-Borup-West vs West Central Area at FF Roosevelt
The West Central Area Knights won the Section 6A crown and secured the first trip the MN State Boys Basketball Tournament in program history with a 60-56 victory over the Ada-Borup-West Cougars. The Knights defense forced turnovers and their inside game on offense built them an 11-point lead in the first half that the Cougars were able to trim to a 30-25 margin at halftime. The largest lead for either team the rest of the way would be just six-points. After the Cougars tied the game at 32-32 early in the second half, they would take a lead at 43-42 with eleven minutes remaining. West Central Area’s Camden Anderson would block a shot on defense and hit three-pointers on the next two Knight offensive possessions to lead 47-45 as the lead changed for the sixth and final time in the game. Ada-Borup-West then hit four free throws and a shot in the paint to pull within a point at 57-56 with 1:48 remaining, and after the Knights scored inside to make it a three point game and added a free throw to end the scoring after the Cougars attempts to tie the game rimmed off.
