Ada A’s at Fosston Trash Pandas

Fosston, MN  — Stellar pitching plus timely hitting was the recipe for success as the A’s spoil the Trash Pandas Home Opener.

The A’s got their bats going in the 2nd inning as the batted around and put up 6 run on 5 hits including back to back 2 RBI hits from Ethan Opsahl and Jake Osowski. The bats went mostly silent on both sides for the next two innings which also included a 15 minute rain delay in the middle of the 4th inning. Brennan Fitting woke the bats back up for the A’s in the 5th as he got the first of 3 hits and scored the first of 3 runs in the inning, which made it 9-0. The A’s were able to plate two more runs in the 7th off of 3 more hits to make it 11-0 and in the bottom of the inning Ethan Opsahl came in to the game to pitch and struck out the side in order to enforce the mercy rule.

Ada will be back on the road on Sunday as they take on the Moorhead Brewers.

Fosston will play in a double header as they travel to take on the Sabin Mets on Sunday.
