Ada-Borup-West at Bagley

The first 3 made buckets were 3 pointers, 2 by Ada-Borup-West and 1 by Bagley, which was a good indication on what was to come the rest of the game. The offenses traded buckets early on to make it a 10-10 ball game, but then a flip was switched. The Cougars shot lights out and played stellar defense sparking a 27-0 run to get out to a 37-10 lead. It ended up being a 46-20 lead at the half thanks to 8 first half 3’s and a perfect 8-8 shooting from the free throw line for Ada-Borup-West. Morgan Engel was 2 rebounds away from a first half double double and half of those 8 3-pointers. The second half didn’t see any large runs, but Ada-Borup-West continued to hit shots from the perimeter finishing with 13 team 3’s. Morgan Engel capped her night with 4 point play which got her to 35 points to go along with 10 rebounds. Bagley’s Mazie Hoie wanted in on the 3-point barrage as she hit 3 in each half on her way to a team high 24 points. There were 3 Cougar’s who found themselves in double digits in points, Engel (35), Brianne Myers (22), and Leighton Odden (10). Ada-Borup-West won 81-40.

Ada-Borup-West will play next on Saturday at the Target Center against Lake Park-Audubon and Bagley will be right back to action tomorrow on the road vs Red Lake County Central.
