Clearbrook, MN — The Ada-Borup-West Cougars defeated the Clearbrook-Gonvick Bears 10-5 on Monday afternoon to win their 6th game in a row.

Clearbrook-Gonvick took advantage of four Cougars throwing errors in the first inning plating four runs to take control of the game. Bears starting pitcher Gavin Solberg was dealing, striking out 10 batters before hitting his pitch count in the sixth inning. The Bears were leading 5-2 at this point. New Pitcher Grant Engen was in charge of closing out the game but had control issues. Ada-Borup-West would score eight runs in the top of the seventh inning and won the game 10-5.

Ada-Borup-West is now 12-2 on the season, extending their current win streak to six games. The Cougars will play Fergus Falls Tuesday. Clearbrook-Gonvick falls to 4-11 on the season and will host Fertile-Beltrami Tuesday.
