A second half time out and a dunk lit the fire for Fertile-Beltrami in the second half to pull away from Ada-Borup-West for their tenth consecutive victory, 72-51. The Falcons led 27-19 in the first half– Ada-Borup-West had four 3-point field goals– to begin the second half, Fertile-Beltrami scored two quick baskets– then, the Cougars went on an 8-0 run– here comes the time out at15:18 which brought attention to detail for the Falcons. That was followed with the two teams playing hard, physical basketball and three minutes later, Fertile-Beltrami leading 39-35. Ada-Borup-West took a time out — minutes later Fertile-Beltrami erupted their fans with a Bryar Strem 3-point field goal, a Strem steal and a Strem transition pass to Drew Gullickson for a two handed dunk that ignited the Falcons to pull away to remain undefeated in the Pine To Prairie conference. Ada-Borup-West played well at times, however, Fertile-Beltrami’s size became a factor along with the Falcons defense. Ada-Borup-West is now 6-7 with the Falcons improving to 12-1.
