The Ada-Borup-West Cougars interior offensive game put them at the free throw line to generate points while their defense limited the scoring looks of the Lake Park-Audubon Raiders to hold on for a 55-47 win. The Raiders would open the game shooting well from the outside with nine made three-pointers putting them ahead 31-28 at halftime. In the Second half the Cougar defense tightened up on the shooter to not allow the good looks and forced the Raiders into multiple scoring droughts. Meanwhile the Cougar offensive game plan to work in the interior helped them get to the free throw line 30 times in the game to offset the difference in long range shooting, and slowly build up a 14 point lead with less than five minutes remaining. The Raiders would then increase their pressure and hold the Cougars to just a pair of made free throws in the final 30-seconds of the game while rediscovering their shooting success and pulled within two possessions of the lead before time ran out on the comeback and the Cougars prevailed.
