Ada-Borup-West at Thief River Falls

Thief River Falls got a quick 10-5 lead, before Ada-Borup-West stormed back with a 10-4 run to take the lead 15-14. A 9-0 run by the Prowlers would give them an 8 point lead which they carried all the way into halftime where they lead 35-27. The second half turned into a defensive battle in which both teams combined for only 17 total points. The Cougars won the second half 9-8, but lost the game 43-36.

Thief River Falls hit 6 three pointers, 5 of which came in the first half. They were led in scoring by Taylor Berg who had 14 points and also had 3 rebounds. Piper Green was the only other Prowler to get double digit points with 10, all of which came in the first half. Aniyah Fields did a good job of cleaning up the glass with 8 rebounds and also protected the paint by getting 4 blocks.

Brianne Myers led all scorers as she put up 18 points for Ada-Borup-West. Morgan Engel was the only other Cougar to get double digit points with 14 and also had 8 rebounds. Leighton Odden had 9 rebounds to go along with 2 points.

Thief River Falls improves to 3-13 on the season and snap their 4 game losing streak. The Prowlers will be back in action on Thursday when they host Barnesville at home.

Ada-Borup-West falls to 6-7 and have now lost 3 straight. They will also return to action on Thursday at home vs Mahnomen/Waubun.
