Erskine, MN — The Ada-Borup-West Cougars got back to .500 on the years with a 71-62 win over the Win E Mac Patriots on Tuesday night.

It was a back and forth slug fest throughout the first half until Ada-Borup-West would find themselves down 30-25 with just a few minutes left. The Cougars would go on an 11-0 scoring run thanks to their relentless defense to take a 36-30 lead into halftime.

In half number two, the Cougars defense continued to disrupt Win E Mac offensively forcing Patriots’ Joe Courneya, who scored 46 points on Monday night, into tough shots. The Cougars lead held steady at double figures for most of the second half and led by as much as 18 points.

Win E Mac made a late push to try and cut the deficit but time would eventually run out on the effort handing Ada-Borup-West the 71-62 victory. The Cougars are now 4-4 overall and will host Clima/Fisher on Thursday. Win E Mac sees their short three game win streak end and will play at Lake Park-Auduon on Thursday.
