The Ada-Borup-West Cougars withstood a East Grand Forks Greenwave rally to hold on for a 78-74 victory. The Cougars struggled with turnovers in the game, but made up the difference in rebounding and free throws to have a 39-29 halftime lead. They would increase the lead to 18-points with 9:45 remaining when the Greenwave began their rally. Taking advantage of the Cougar turnovers to get the transition game going the lead steadily dwindled to nine-points with 4:25 remaining and they pulled within two-points in the final minute. Leading 76-74 the Cougar defense got the stop they needed and secured the rebound before heading the the free throw line to hit the two free throws to help seal the victory.
