The Ada-Borup-West Cougars picked up their sixth straight win with the 6-0 victory at Fosston on Thursday. Ames Fassino tossed a complete game on the mound as the Cougars improved to 6-1 overall. Fassino struck out 12 and walked only one in his first start of the season. Luke Finney had three hits for the Cougars while Fassino, Connor Nelson and Tyler Catlett each had two hits for Ada-Borup-West. The Cougars scored three runs in the 3rd inning and added three more runs in the 7th inning. Tanner VIg had 2 of the three hits for Fosston as the Greyhounds fall to 1-2 overall. Tucker Djerness pitched well but took the loss on the mound for the Greyhounds. Both teams return to action on Friday with Ada-Borup-West going to Bagley and Fosston hosting Badger/Greenbush-Middle River (96.7 FM).
