The Red Lake County Rebels scored five runs in the second inning and went on to defeat the Ada-Borup-West Cougars 8-5 in the elimination round of the Section 8A Tournament at Crookston. Both teams committed five errors in the game but the Rebels had just enough offense to pick up the win. Austin McRaven and Cameron Spaeth each had two hits for the Cougars as they end their season at 16-6. Ashtin Fredrickson had two hits for the Rebels as they improve to 16-6 overall. Ada-Borup-West had defeated Red Lake County 8-4 in the West Sub-Section 8A Tournament last week in Fertile. Will Gieseke drove in two runs with a double in the second inning for Red Lake County as they move on to play Fosston in another elimination game.
