The Fosston Greyhounds scored five runs in the fifth inning and went on to defeat Badger/Greenbush-Middle River 12-9 in a game played at Win-E-Mac on Monday. Mitchell Mulry and Brodie Sather each had two doubles for Fosston as they improve to 2-1 overall. Mulry drove in three runs while Sather and Jake Howard each had 2 RBI for the Greyhounds. Will Foss had three hits for the Gators as they fall to 0-3 overall. Jude Vacura, Nathan Gust and Levi Olson each had two hits for the Gators. Tucker Djerness picked up the win on he mound for Fosston while Taylor Davy took the loss for B/G-MR. Djerness recorded six strikeouts and didn’t walk a batter for Fosston.
