The Bagley Flyers returned the opening kickoff 86 yards for a touchdown to set the tone for the game, but it didn’t rattle the Ada Borup West Cougars, who scored 21 unanswered points in the first quarter and rolled to a 42-26 victory over the Flyers, moving to 2-0 on the season, while Bagley fell to 0-2.
Austin McCraven scored five touchdowns (2 passing and 3 rushing) as the Cougars picked up a victory on their home field.
Ada Borup West will travel to Mahnomen/Waubun on Friday next week, while Bagley will host Polk County West on Friday.
