VB Bagley 3 Climax-Fisher 1 (25-18, 25-16, 14-25, 25-20)

Bagley defeated Climax-Fisher for the third time this season on Tuesday…defeating the Knights three sets to one in Climax.

The teams’ first two meetings were in tournaments at Ada-Borup-West and Crookston.  On Tuesday it was a regulation 3 out of 5 sets. The Flyers took the first two sets 25-19 and 25-16.  Climax-Fisher rallied to win the third set 25-15.  Set four was tied 20-20 when Kaitlyn Kumpula’s kill broke the tie for Bagley. MaKalyn Hoie served an ace, and Ava Phrakonkham had two kills as the Flyers took the fifth set 25-20.

Phrakonkham led Bagley (7-8) with 15 kills, with Kira Thompson adding 13 kills and 2 blocks.

7th grader Brooklyn Hoffman had 8 kills for Climax-Fisher (4-9) with Kinley Korynta getting 7 kills and a service ace.

Bagley hosts Fertile-Beltrami on Thursday, while Climax-Fisher goes to Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal on Thursday.
