Bagley at Fertile-Beltrami

The Fertile-Beltrami Falcons defended their home court in the Section 8A playoffs with a 3-1 win over the Bagley Flyers. The Falcons came out with an attacking game plan and the energy to match in taking the opening two sets 25-9 and 25-15. The Flyers would not go quietly and started to find a rhythm in their own attack near the end of the second set that carried them through the third set to stay alive with the 25-19 set win to force a fourth set. The fourth set would starts as a tightly played contest before the Falcons took advantage of opportunities that allowed them to build a 22-15 lead. Again the Flyers fought back, staved off a pair of Falcon match-points and tied the set at 24-24. The Falcons responded with a kill, and a block for the next two points to pick up the win.
