VB Bagley at Red Lake County Central

The Bagley Flyers put together a remarkable comeback in the first set and went on to defeat the Red Lake County Central Mustangs 3-0 (28-26, 25-9 & 25-15) at Oklee on Monday night. The Flyers trailed 24-17 in the first set but came back to win 28-26. Mazie Hoie recorded 10 kills and four service aces as Bagley improves to 7-10 overall. McKalyn Hoie added 9 kills and Kaley Thompson 6 kills for Bagley. Alexis Chervestad had 5 kills and Aubrey Halvorson and McKaelyn Frizzle each had 4 kills for the Mustangs as they fall to 6-10 overall. The Flyers had 12 service aces in the match while RLCC didn’t have any aces at the line. After the Flyers trailed the Mustangs 24-17 in the first set they went on to outscore RLCC 38-11. Bagley won the “B” Squad match 2-0 while Red Lake County Central won the “C” Squad match 2-0. The Flyers will return to action on Tuesday, September 30th when they host the Win-E-Mac Patriots (1480-AM/99.7 FM). The Mustangs will also play their next match on Tuesday, September 30th when they travel to Clearbrook-Gonvick to take on the Bears..
