Bagley at Win-E-Mac

Erskine, MN — The Win E Mac Patriots beat the Bagley Flyers 72-66 in Boys Basketball on Friday evening.

There were plenty of fouls and missed free throws in the contest but it was Win E Mac finding a way to victory. The Patriots built an eight point lead at the halfway point of the first half and that deficit helped keep the Flyers at arms length really for the rest of the game as Bagley would never lead from that point despite having opportunities, especially at the free throw line, but couldn’t cash in. The Flyers missed 18 of their 30 free throw attempts. Win E Mac wasn’t much better from the charity stripe shooting 10 of 25 for 40% but some big defensive stops down the stretch would be what kept Win E Mac in front and winning the game 72-66.

With the victory, Win E Mac is now 2-1 on the year and will play at Climax/Fisher next Thursday. For Bagley, they drop their first game of the season falling to 4-1 and will be at Park Christian next Tuesday.
