Bagley vs. Red Lake Falls

Red Lake Falls, MN — The Red Lake Falls Eagles overcame a slow start at the dish and beat the Bagley Flyers 10-0 in the Section 8A Softball Tournament.

Red Lake Falls didn’t record a hit in the first two innings vs. Bagley. As a matter of fact, the Eagles caught a break in the second when Bagley’s Stella Jesness dropped a fly ball in left field allowing the inning to continue and the Eagles eventually scoring the first run of the game via a sacrifice fly. For Bagley, they couldn’t catch up to Eagles Pitcher Kylie Klipping who struck out eleven Flyers and allowed just one hit and three baserunners over five innings. The bats finally broke through for Red Lake Falls in the fourth inning when they batted around scoring nine runs on five hits and eventually put the finishing touches on a 10-0 win.

Red Lake Falls is now 21-4 on the season and will play Sacred Heart at 4 pm in the next round on Thursday in Red Lake Falls. For Bagley they will play in the elimination bracket vs. Mahnomen/Waubun in Greenbush on Thursday at 4 pm.
