The Bagley Flyers played a five set match for the second time in two nights and won at Win-E-Mac Tuesday night 3-2. The Flyers were coming off a 3-2 win Monday at Red Lake County Central. In that match, the Flyers jumped out to a 2-0 lead but against Win-E-Mac the Flyers fell behind 2-0. Ava Phrakonkham led the Flyers with 21 kills as the Flyers picked up their seventh win in their last eight matches. Kira Thompson added 15 kills and Sadie Fultz 7 kills for Bagley as the Flyers improve to 9-9 overall and 3-2 in the Pine to Prairie Conference. Freshman Makalyn Hoie had 5 service aces for Bagley. Nevaeh Simpson led Win-E-Mac with 8 kills as the Patriots fall to 0-16 overall and 0-5 in the conference. Abigail Sauer added 7 kills and Lauren Kaupang 5 kills for Win-E-Mac. Destiny Molstad had 5 service aces for Win-E-Mac. Win-E-Mac won the first two sets but Bagley won the third set 25-8. Win-E-Mac won the “B” Squad match 2-0 while Bagley won the “C” Squad match 2-0. Win-E-Mac will return to action on Thursday, October 3rd when they travel to Climax/Fisher (Your Live Event). The Flyers will also play their next match on Thursday, October 3rd when they host the Fosston Greyhounds (1480-AM/99.7 FM).
