Blackduck at Bagley
Recap
GBB Blackduck at Bagley
Bagley, MN — The Bagley Flyers Girls Basketball Team picked up a solid early season victory on Monday night beating the Blackduck Drakes 58-50.
The contest was back and forth through the early points of the night but Bagley would secure an 8-6 lead and never let go of it. The Flyers were able to push their lead to as much as eight in the first half but some timely buckets in the final minutes cut the Drakes deficit to just four at the break 28-24.
In the second, Bagley took control early by scoring the first six points and ballooning their lead to 10, 34-24, which was the largest of the night at that point. The Bagley lead was 8-12 points for most of the second half and even enjoyed a 16 point 54-38 lead late. Blackduck continued to try and scratch their way back into the game with a couple of late 3-pointers but the Drakes did not have enough time to try and stage the comeback as Bagley would win 58-50.
With the win, Bagley is now 3-2 on the season and will be at Climax/Fisher on Thursday for a girls and boys basketball doubleheader. Blackduck falls to 3-3 and will be at Lake of the Woods Thursday.
