Blackduck 3 Bagley 0 (25-14, 25-17, 25-21)

Bagley, MN — The Blackduck Drakes remained unbeaten Tuesday night, sweeping the Bagley Flyers 3-0 to improve to 4-0 on the season.

The first two sets played out in nearly identical fashion. Blackduck stormed ahead 8-1 in both, only to see Bagley rally back to within three points at 12-9. Each time, the Drakes regrouped after a timeout and reestablished control, taking the sets 25-14 and 25-17.

The Flyers put together their strongest effort in the third set, grabbing their first lead of the night at 6-5 and staying even with Blackduck until 14-14. The Drakes responded with a short run to go up 18-14, forcing a Bagley timeout. The Flyers clawed back within one, but senior hitter Bella Bloom powered the Drakes down the stretch, finishing with a match-high 19 kills as Blackduck closed out the set 25-21 to secure the sweep.

Blackduck (4-0) will look to stay perfect when they host Walker-Hackensack-Akeley on Thursday. Bagley (4-4) returns to action next Tuesday with a road trip to Ada-Borup-West.
