Blackduck vs. Clearbrook-Gonvick

The Blackduck Drakes broke open a close game and ended up cruising to the 87-59 win over Clearbrook-Gonvick Thursday night at the Fosston Holiday Tournament. The game was tied at 26-26 with 3:17 left in the first half but the Drakes went on a 14-2 run to pull away from the Bears. Oliver Stroeing scored 28 points and Dante Frank added 26 points for the Drakes as they improve to 3-0 overall. Blackduck had four players in double figures with Kainen Arp and Leo Kingbird each scoring 10 points for the Drakes. Hassani Bruton led Clearbrook-Gonvick with 28 points as the Bears fall to 2-1 overall. The Bears will face Win-E-Mac in the third place game at 6:00 pm on Friday, December 9th (1480-AM/99.7 FM). The Bears beat the Patriots earlier this season 78-71 at Clearbrook-Gonvick. Blackduck will play Fosston in the championship game at 7:45 pm (1480-AM/99.7 FM).
