Boys PTP Championship Park Christian vs Fertile-Beltrami

Fertile, MN — The Fertile-Beltrami Falcons Boys Basketball Team Captured the 2026 Pine to Prairie Championship on Saturday afternoon after beating the Park Christian Falcons 67-46. It is the second conference title for Fertile-Beltrami in the last three seasons.

Fertile-Beltrami, like they did in the regular season game versus Park Christian, came out hot taking an early double digit lead 12-2. Park Christian would a require a large scoring run to cut into the deficit and they did so by scoring 15 of the next 21 points to take their first lead of the game 17-16. The advantage was short lived however as Fertile-Beltrami hit a three to take the lead and even built a 12 point lead with three minutes to play. Park Christian continued to claw their way back and trailed by just six points at halftime 33-27.

In the second half Park Christian could not buy a bucket. They scored just seven points total nine minutes in and were outscored 34-19 overall in the half. Fertile-Beltrami enjoyed a double digit lead for the majority of the half and were led by Senior Guard Bryer Strem who controlled the tempo of the game and scored 15 of his 22 points in the second half. Fertile-Betlrami would cruise to the 67-46 win.

With the victory, Fertile-Beltrami is now 19-3 overall and will square off with Red Lake County in a massive West Sub-Section showdown on Thursday. For Park Christian, the fall to 18-5 with the loss and will host New York Mills on Tuesday.
