Breckenridge vs Mahnomen-Waubun

THe Breckenridge Cowboys were able to fend off several Mahnomen Waubun Thunderbird rallies to come away with a 71-59 win.  The Cowboys jumped out to a quick 10 point lead in the first half, but Mahnomen Waubun was able to rally and tie the game at 29.  The Cowboys used a 7-0 run to end the first half to lead 38-30.  The Cowboys hit some big 3’s to start the 2nd half to build a 16 point lead, but Mahnomen Waubun would rally again to cut the lead to 9 late in the game but that is as close as they would come thanks to some big rebounds and free throws from Breckenridge to seal the deal.  Breckenridge is now 10-9, while Mahnomen Waubun is now 6-11.
