Grafton 71, Carrington 52

After a first half with 10 ties and 5 lead changes, Grafton pulled away in the second half to defeat Carrington 71-52 Monday in the Region 2A boys basketball quarterfinals at Mayville State University.

Reggie Rice scored 23 points, Brody Lillemoen 20 and Aidan McMillan 16 for the Spoilers (16-5), who outscored Carrington 39-24 in the second half.

Taylen Mehring scored 22 points, including 5 3-point baskets, to lead Carrington (6-16), with Maddox McIlonie and Alec Threadgold adding 10 apiece.

Grafton faces MayPort-CG in the Region 2A semifinals Tuesday night at Mayville State.
