The Carrington Cardinals rallied back in the fifth set to defeat the Hillsboro/Central Valley Burros 3-2. In the Opening set the Burros serving attack helped them jump out in front and go ahead with a 25-20 set win. Carrington would then ride their offensive attack to  take the next two sets, including coming from behind in the third set to pull ahead in the match. The fourth set teetered back and forth with the Cardinals eventually serving for match point at 24-21 before the Burros played mistake free to score the next five points and push to the fifth set after a 26-24 set win. The Burros carried that momentum into the final set leading 8-3 when the Cardinals took their second timeout of the set. The break worked for the Cardinals with an immediate side-out followed by back-to-back  ace serves and suddenly the Cardinals rallied back for a 12-10 lead and held on for the 15-12 win to take the match.
