Carrington vs Thompson
Recap
The Carrington Cardinals offensive rebounding helped them build a double-digit first half lead that they were able to hold onto in the second half for the 54-50 win over the Thompson Tommies. Scoring was at a premium in the first two quarters, but 12 points off of seven offensive rebounds in the first half helped the Cardinals to a 19-6 lead with 2:42 remaining in the first half. The Tommies cut the lead to eight at halftime and moved as close as 26-23 in the third before the Cardinals regrouped and again made it an eight point game at the quarter break with a 35-27 lead going into the fourth quarter. The Tommies continued their comeback attempt and were able to make it a one-possession game five times in the quarter, but each time they drew close the Cardinals responded with a score of their own and never relinquished the lead in the game. The win is the 12th consecutive for the Cardinals as they improve to 14-3 overall. The Tommies have their 12 game win streak snapped as they fall to 15-3 on the season.
Thompson wins the JV game (53-40) and C-Team game (31-27).
