Carrington vs Valley City – Division A State Girls Basketball Tournament

MINOT, ND – The Valley City Hi-Liners came back to defeat Carrington 45-42 in the North Dakota Division A State Tournament on Thursday.

The Hi-Liners erased a 13 point second quarter deficit and will move in the state semifinals for the second straight season. Katie Burchill and Skye Nielson each finished with a double double for Valley City. Burchill had 24 points and 14 rebounds while Nielson had 11 points and 12 rebounds. The Hi-Liners play South Prairie-Max in the semifinals on Friday at 6:30 p.m.

Edyn Hoornaert paced Carrington with 10 points. The Cardinals matchup with Turtle Mountain in the consolation semifinals on Friday at 1 p.m. from the Minot State Dome. You can listen to the game on yourliveevent.com.
