The Cass Lake-Bena Panthers snapped Fosston’s 13 game winning streak with the 63-34 win at Fosston on Tuesday night. The Greyhounds hadn’t lost since January 11th when East Grand Forks Sacred Heart beat Fosston. Gabrielle Fineday led the Panthers with 31 points as Cass Lake-Bena improved to 19-5 overall and picked up their ninth win in their last ten games. Lexi Mahlen led Fosston with 12 points as the Greyhounds fall to 24-2 overall. The Greyhounds turned the ball over 27 times and trailed 32-19 at halftime. The Greyhounds were held scoreless for the first 4:33 of the second half and fell behind 41-19 before scoring their first points in the second half.
