The Henning Hornet offense found their rhythm in the second half to outlast the Central Cass Squirrels to improve to 7-0 with the 70-59 win. The Hornets plus-13 rebounding advantage in the first half helped them overcome their 13 turnovers and lead the squirrels 29-25 at the break. Central Cass came ready in the second half with a 10-2 run to start and take the lead. The teams went back and forth with both finding their offensive rhythms for a 48-48 tie with 6:52 remaining. Henning would score the next basket and not look back and have three straight made 3-pt. Shots fall for a 61-53 lead. The Hornets then held off the Squirrels from the free throw line to stay undefeated to begin their season at 7-0 while Central Cass falls to 1-2 on the season.
