Class 9-player semifinal Hillcrest vs Kittson County Central

Minneapolis, MN — The Hillcrest Lutheran Academy Comets outlasted the Kittson County Central Bearcats in the State 9-Player Semifinals on Thursday and won 27-21.

The Comets took firm control in the second half 27-7. But KCC, who had more fight left in them would cut the deficit to 27-21 and even had a chance at a game tying drive. Hillcrest Lutheran Academy would tighten up defensively on the potential game tying drive and intercepted the Bearcats with less then five minutes to play. The Comets would then run out the clock and secure the 27-21 win.

Hillcrest Lutheran Academy will take a 12-0 record into the Prep Bowl next Saturday where they will play the Hills-Beaver Creek Patriots who beat Fertile-Beltrami 30-14 in the other Semifinal contest.
